London Orbital
Residency at Worlding, London.
This page brings together work and studio images made during my residency at Worlding in London. A few works are presented in separate posts: Underpass and My Life at Sainsbury's. My working process very much evolved around being in London, trying to understand where I was, exploring and experimentation. The title 'London Orbital' is borrowed from the eponymous film by Iain Sinclair. I like it's associations with circling around, challenging a simple dichotomy of centre and periphery. At least, that's what I feel I did. Each work, small and large, started with an intuition that I followed, and with trusting that something that caught my attention, or stayed on my mind, is worth exploring. This led to several series of works, as well of some stand alone pieces in various techniques, including cyanotype, text and drawings with graphite.
My residency at Worlding was kindly supported by Mondriaan Fonds and Gerbrandy Cultuurfonds
